I have about 75 miles on the Pearl Izumi EM N2 V3 Trail Runner shoe. Length and width are ideal for my feet. The shoe feels roomy and the length is perfect. The quality of materials and the cusshioning is better than I expected. The sole is very pliable and appears to do well in the various types of terrain that I encounter. The EM N2 V3 Trail Runner has provided me a stable platform for 3-5 mile runs on sand, dirt, mud, grass, pavement, pine needles, rocks, gravel, and other obstacles that I have encountered in the Southeast US. My one gripe is that I I do notice a small amount of heel slippage and am currently trying various tying techniques to minimize this.Overall I would recommend this shoe for anyone who has medium to high arches and is seeking a neutral shoe with maximum cushioning.(though and I feel stable despite using the shoe on various ground types (sand, mud, dirt, grass, moss, pavement, pine needles, rocks, fallen trees etc.). The highlight of the shoe is the cushioning available from this shoe and its arch support. I normally am loyal to the Brooks brand but have really appreciated this shoe. I bought it after reading many favorable reviews and feel thatI read the reviews and bought a half size up (I wear a 10 but got a 10.5), and the shoes fit right (how running shoes should fit). If you aren't using these to run, I think you could get away with your true size. I am pleasantly surprised at the price point of these and quality. I've been a runner and biker for years (mainly runner) and know Pearl Izumi makes some quality products. These shoes are a fun color, and they are surprisingly light. I don't know that I would use these for true trail running as they seem too light and not rugged enough on the bottom (seems like they could sleep). However, I will mainly be using them for road running and treadmill running. The bottom is very padded and well-cushioned. The actual foot bed is not as cushioned, but again, I like lighter shoes. They do make my feet look a little clownish. I also have pretty big feet for my proportions (size 10 at 5'8"ish, small chest and a little gangly). So I guess I am used to it. They are still really fun and will get the job done.I purchased those trailshoes after reviewing them here and reading about them online. They have a good thread and fit my needs on easy trails perfectly. They have a good enough cushioning to feel comfortable on runs that are longer than 10 miles. They are stability shoes for overpronation. I ordered them half a size up and they fit perfectly. After only three runs I got a hole on top of the left shoe. I lift my toes while running and was really disappointed about having to fix them somehow.I send them an email with a complaint just to see what they say. They answered almost immediately and sent me another new pair in exchange. I am still impressed with their way to handle this issue.I have taken these out for a few runs and really enjoy them so far - too early to say if they are five stars. A good amount of support and cushioning with plenty of room in the toe box area if you're someone who likes. My run in the rain and puddles told me they'll be good in all weather as the moisture was pushed out quickly. Surprised by how light they are and very comfortable to wear. I took a recommendation and went up 1/2 a size.I took these shoes out of the box, plopped them on my feet and hit the trails...not something I normally do. These shoes are amazingly light, cushy and provide the stability that I need. My left foot sustained a crushing injury in 2003. I was told to let go of my passion for running. I had numerous bones grafted, plated and Screwed. I was told to These shoes provide my "Glass Slipper" with the support that I need in a trail shoe. Rockstars!!! :)Very nice lightweight low-profile running shoes. They have a nice stable sole, but not as much arch support as Pearl Izumi's H3 shoes. Version V3 is a little wider in the toe box than the earlier versions. I wear size 9 from New Balance and size 8.5 from Nike. These fit more like New Balance; size 9 fits me great. Plus one star because the price is only $22 right now.Use these as hiking shoes, as opposed to true trail running. Have worn about 4 hiking trips, ranging from a few miles to 15. These are incredible. Always carry leukotape P for hot spots, but have never had to use it with these. Feels really nice not to walk 15 miles and have feet on fire, can focus on setting up camp. Nice balance between sensitivity under foot and protection from larger rocks. As breathable and quick trying as expected. With wool socks they feel warm for late winter in the high desert. The grip is good, I wouldn't mind them being a bit more chunky on that front, but its minor.Super nice running shoe! These fit great, have a great feel in the heel cup, and enough spring to go for miles. They aren't the softest running shoe: if you need more cushioning, you may want to stay away. However- these last forever! I have tried several other shoes and they feel "dead" after about 200 miles, but I am over 250 miles in and they have worn etremely well and have plenty of life left! Too bad Pearl Izumi discontinued making running shoes. These were some of the best on the market.Awful, hole in the uppers after 5 months and soles completely worn out after 6 months.Incredible fitSeem good so far. Nice feel about them.
