I have been a big fan of Mizunos Wave Ridder for running for longer than I can remember. This style has been instrumental in giving me the extra support which I need since I tend to pronate. Both the Wave Rider 16 and Wave Rider 17 have fit as expected and has had a very short break in period.A caveat to those looking at the WaVe Rider 18: unlike it’s predecessors, I found it to run large.La comodidad del productoIf any of you have ever tried the Nike Max Moto series throughout the early 2000's, but were disappointed when they discontinued it, then this is the shoe for you. For pronators, this shoe is very well padded, giving you excellent support, and will keep your feet comfortable all day, even if you are overweight. Mizuno makes other kinds of running shoes, but the Wave Inspire is their flagship. I have never worn a Wave Inspire that I didn't like; these shoes are well built and won't fall apart as easily as their Nike counterparts. You don't have to be a pronator to use them; it simply means they have extra padding on the sides and arch, which is a good thing for just about everyone, in my opinion (remember that less padding equals more shock on your joints). I also like the shoelaces they use; they don't undo while you're running. In terms of longevity, I usually replace my running shoes every ten months, but you can wear them even longer if you take good care of them. Mine still looked great after ten months, but as a frequent runner, I was told that the materials are the most springy during the first ten months, so I don't usually keep a pair longer than a year at most.Excelente calidadThe product is a true match to your size as advertised. I don't really buy shoes online becausefor myself it is very difficult to find an exact match to my size since every time I have to buy a new pair of shoes, I have to try them on before buying because I don't have the same size depending on the shoes' brand, but these shoes were the exact match for my shoe size.Since I am very happy with them, I truly recommend this shoe.Bought these for my husband. He loves them very much!I’ve been ordering Mizuno shoes the last couple years and have not been disappointed.Great show! This is the 2nd pair of these running shoes my husband has bought. He’s very particular about running shoes so to buy 2 pairs says a lot!All goodI do not recommend these due to poor quality. I've run in the Mizuno Wave Inspire model forever (10+ yrs). It is my go-to brand and shoe model. I purchased the black pair in men's because the men's regular width is a women's wide (D) width, which I need. The women's wide always sells out too quickly. Plus I love the black/unisex colours and the price was good. The shoe fit comfortably for size and width and looked great. However, within a mere few months, the inside of the heels wore down and "chewed up". I even rotate/alternate my shoes and wasn't even wearing these everyday for my runs. And that type of deterioration actually never happens to me in other shoes, not even prior Mizunos. These shoes are clearly substandard quality and I'm so glad I did not purchase another pair (I almost did, that's how it is as a hardcore runner). I bought them in July 2021 and now (June 2022), in the last handful of months, the material on the top/sides of the shoes has holes. I've never had a pair of Wave Inspires that showed wear so quickly, especially when I'm alternating it with another pair of shoes: if anything, that always prolongs the life of my shoes because I alternate. Glad I got a deal because I would not pay over $100 for these and I absolutely will not buy these again, whether from Amazon and probably not even Mizuno, if this is the quality or lack thereof.ESEstrecho en el dedo del pieDesde la última vez que compré estos, han rediseñado la puntera para que sea más estrecho, lo que los hace menos cómodos, al menos para mí. Mis últimos dos pares fueron Wave Rider 12 y 14. Estos son Wave Rider 16. Puedo usarlos, solo deseo que no cambien el diseño y sigan llamándolos el mismo modelo.ENSince I last bought these, they have redesigned the toe to be narrower which makes them less comfortable, for me anyway. My last two pairs were Wave Rider 12 and 14. These are Wave Rider 16. I can use them, I just wish they wouldn't change the design and still call them the same model.I just ran 8k and came home with a big blister on the arch of my left foot, thanks to the design of these shoes. There are two seams running vertically on the inside of the shoe, which cause major chafing. It felt like there as a pebble or some foreign object in my shoe and I kept taking it off throughout the run to try to get the thing out, but there was nothing to come out - I was feeling these seams. As you can see in the photo, one of the seams is an elastic webbing attached to the tongue of the shoe. This is something new in the 17 version -- the tongue did not have this webbing in Mizuno Wave Inspire 11, the version I upgraded from. What an unfortunate design change. I miss my 11 versions.
