I am really torn on my rating. To be honest, the wealth of detail and the amount of time Mr. Baker has put into mapping Braddock's Road deserves five stars. However, the maps, while certainly larger than Mr. Baker's History Press offering, are still a bit small and blurry, which means the focus on being an atlas leaves a bit to be desired to fulfill that task. The writing reminds me of works by Ed Bearss, very factual and to the point. As both Mr. Baker and Mr. Bearss are World War II Marine veterans, perhaps this is reflective of the style of training they received in the Corps. Regardless, having the Atlas is an improvement upon the small maps in the History Press book, and therefore a worthy addition for those Braddock Road junkies who crave such detail.
